THANKFUL THURSDAY

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”~ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

When I read this passage, it reminds me that love isn't just a "word." There's so much meaning behind it. We love our family and friends but sometimes our actions prove otherwise. I was so convicted today because my behavior was totally the opposite of what God says love is. But, I'm so thankful for the Lord, and how gracious He is, and how forgiving He is. Although we fall short (because that is our nature), He understands more than anyone else can.

I'm thankful for:

My husband who is totally devoted to us and our children.

That God is the center of our marriage.

My childrens unconditional love and their gentle spirits.

Gods unconditional love.

That there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

I'm so thankful that I can witness God's work, healing, strength and love that He has place upon your family girl!! You were a little babe in Christ when I first 'met' you and oh my, how you have grown into such a splendor of glory in God's right hand, just like His Word states..((hugs))

I love your honesty! Beautiful post. I actually just bought a wooden plaque with parts of that scripture. I put it on my mantle in plain view, so that I may be reminded when I need to have patience with the blessings my life!

I've heard it said that love is a verb, not a noun...your post confirms that. Thanks for reminding me that my actions speak louder than words.
