13/52 PICTURES OF ME

I'm participating in a year long challenge, created by Carin at Forever In Blue Jeans. The goal is to be in one picture a week, for 52 weeks. Since us moms are always behind the camera, this gives us a chance to get out in front and be in the pictures with our family. So, click here if you want to join in on the fun!

It was just Daniel & I at home alone this past Saturday while my husband and the rest of kids went to a birthday party. It was so nice and quiet! It literally felt like a mini vacation!

Daniel's such a trooper to take a picture with me because he is sick here. Can you tell by his "I'll try to force myself to smile" expression? He got that croup sounding cough on Friday, and he was just starting to feel a little better on Saturday.

As I was messing around on my blog, I realized that I didn't have any pictures to share this week, so I asked him to go outside with me to take a picture. He's so sweet, he didn't even hesitate to get up. However, after the 5th or 6th picture he finally said, "Okay, this is the last one."

Oh..and I have to point out that when my son looked at this picture he said, "Your teeth look yellow!" Now, I'm not a shallow person, but I'm letting you all know that my teeth are not yellow! LOL! I could have even made this picture B&W and not even mention that little comment, but I like this picture in color better. Oh, and excuse my glasses, you can see the reflection on the right side, plus they're practically falling off my face! It was like 97 degrees outside and I was in a hurry to get a quick pic!

His look is so sweet and innocent. I always feel bad for my boys when they are sick but it's about the only time they will cuddle. Hope he is feeling better!

Kids - can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. They are sometimes so honest. My son told me that my teeth were clear and now I'm so self-conscious of them. I'd never noticed before. I hope he's feeling better.

I love this challenge! I'm usually the one taking pictures, too, because my husband doesn't take good ones! LOL! I remember crying when, after giving birth, I was still the one taking pictures! We have a million pictures of my newborn and my husband and none of me! I was so upset and angry, I didn't get my first picture holding my baby until we got home! :-(

I still want to cry thinking about it! *sigh*

Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday! I love yours! It's so cute! I'm following now!

Awww ... that a boy!
I wouldn´t have even noticed your teeth. LOL I just had my teeth cleaned and I kid you not they were grey afterward. I was like what happened? But it was more like they were see through. so weird. and now I have this one in the back where they gave me a filling that´s killing me when I eat. Suppose I am going to have to go back. :(
How do you keep up with so many blogs? I really feel so special when You come over to chat with me! You Rock!
Have a great day!!

I just love having the house to myself or to be home with one child.
You are starting to critique your pics and look at your composition like a real photographer...you go girl. Daniel is no different than my kids, Joel told me in a video I did of him today, "that's it mom"

Good picture! I don't think I've ever told you how much I like your blog title, too, "More than Words." Love the song and it's so appropriate for this blogging adventure.
