MY BREAK IS OVER!

Well, not completely over. I'm just being dramatic!

My Jr. Higher's come back tonight from being away for seven days at camp! We really miss them, and I know that the Lord was not only working in their hearts all week, but all the other kids at well! I'm excited to hear about what they have learned and to see their walk grow in the Lord! My prayer is that they come home on fire for Jesus!

While they were gone, my three youngest attended VBS at a church by our house. This is their 3rd year of going, and they always have alot of fun! It's really, REALLY nice to be able to just drop them off and pick them up! Unlike our church, I stay the entire time and serve wherever they need me. It was nice being a "face in the crowd" and being free to come and go!

I told myself (and you) that I was going to declutter a room each day while I had that 3 hour window of alone time. Well, that didn't happen! I didn't declutter anything! In fact, one of those days I took an hour nap! Ahh..bliss! It was totally the Lord that I woke up JUST IN TIME to leave to pick them up! I was still in a daze when I was driving over there!

My highlight of the week was being able to go to brunch with one of my good friends. I wish I didn't have to leave so early to pick up the kids, but it just makes me want to go to lunch with her again! She's one of those friends where we can just vent and be totally real with each other!

Now, can you believe I didn't take one single picture of my kids this week? I was officially on camera break too, so I can't take credit for the following pictures. These were taken by someone from the church. It was so neat because they had a slideshow at the end of each day, plus they posted them on their church website every night. So, since it's all out there for the world to see, I feel comfortable posting some pictures of my kids with these other kids who I don't even know!

There's Eli right in the middle with the brown shirt. This is obviously during worship!
There's my Danny on the far right!!
This was Veronica's group that she was with all week! She is on the bottom left with the gray dress.
Here she is solo!
Danny boy and mystery girl!!
Eli (bottom row) with his group of peeps!

It looks like the kids had a great time at VBS! Good for you getting out with a friend and napping!! The decluttering can wait. It sounds like you had quite a relaxing time.

Tell whoever great pictures. I am sure all the parents appreciate them being taken so they can view the fun their kids really had.

I would've been the same way as far as not getting anything done around the house. When my kids are all out of the house it's just too quiet and peaceful to pass up a well needed nap. Glad your back from your break!

Don't you love naps! I'm glad you enjoyed your break...even if you didn't declutter!

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do and sometimes that involves naps and brunch! Good for you...the clutter will still be there and I am sure you will get to it, but now you can say that you were able to rest and visit!!! I am glad that everyone had a good time last week and they are safely back!

Great blog! This was my first visit.

I rarely have time away from my kids. I'm a homeschooling mom too! When I do its so nice and relaxing, but it doens't feel normal until they are back home again!

Girl, I am sure you needed that hou nap! My problem with naps is that I can't take just an hour nap....girl, they are 2-3 hour naps! lol! Glad that kids had a fun week at camp and VBS! What a blessing to have some many opportunities around us to learn more about the awesome God we serve, huh?

How fun! My kids are going to go to a VBS next week....or is it the week after? I can't remember. Looks like they had a great time. I never thought to send my kids to a VBS at another church till this year. Maryah's school church (Calvary Chapel) is having one.

Looks like they all had a great time! There will always be time to declutter with the kids home so I say enjoy your break, and I know you did!

You need to take those mom breaks when you can.
