MAKING YOUR HOME SING MONDAY

I am linking up with my friend, Mom's The Word to participate in her Monday meme, "Making Your Home Sing Monday." It's a day when we share what we are doing to bless our families in our home. If you would like to join in, click here.

I want to start off by saying that our first week of school went great! Even when we had a break by going to my dads one day, they were still troopers and did the rest when we got home!

Just by us staying consistent everyday and doing what they're supposed to be doing made them appreciate the weekend all the more! I can see how much of a difference our day is when we stay on track. I also plan on not scheduling appointments or doing errands during our school time. It's hard to reel them back in from being out for a couple of hours. And that goes for myself too.

You would think that I would know this after homeschooling for 8 years, but I tell ya, you learn something new everyday!

So, for this week, I will continue to do what we did the last, so our home will be singing, singing, singing!

Have a wonderful school week!

Everyday I am questioning what I should have done about school. Things at the new school do not seem to be getting better:(

It is harder to get them to focus once they've been out and about for awhile. It's hard to get me to focus, lol!

I like to make my appointments for the morning and get them over with, but then it does interfere with school.

So usually I try to make them after 11:00. That way we can get in Math and English at least, and some of the other stuff, and he can read his history or lit. while I'm gone.

Thank you for joining in today!

Good for you for homeschooling, and all the other moms that also teach their kids. I don't know how you do it, but here is a pat on the back!!!! Great job!

Oh, I so know what you mean about reeling everyone back in after getting off track or leaving for a couple hours! I try really hard not to do ANYTHING until most of our schoolwork is done. Glad y'all had a great first week!

I imagine it would be very hard to stay focused when there is ability to be lax in your schedule. I would not do so well with that. Glad you know better! Have a good week and keep singing!

I'm glad everything is going so well. I learn lots of new things each day as I homeschool too.
BTW, I had to laugh at your comment. Would you believe that even my daughter's friends tell her she has the same facial expression as I do?
