YOU'RE GONNA MISS THIS MOMENT

Just the other day, my oldest daughter asked me to scan some pictures of her when we lived in Hawaii, so she could post them on her Facebook page. As I was I scanning the pictures, it was like her and my oldest sons childhood just flashed before my eyes.

I know they are only 13, 12, 9 years old right now, but it seems just like yesterday when they were 4 & 5, just like in the pictures. It really made me think, and wonder, "Do I remember everything they did at that age?" Of course I don't, and that's what makes me sad. I know we can't video tape or capture every moment with a photo, but it did make me realize how precious time is. That is one thing we can never get back.

It makes me appreciate the time I have with them while they are still at home, and also cherish my younger kids at this age. In a blink of an eye, they will be teenagers too, and I want to make sure I remember as much as I can. I'm so thankful that I'm blogging now.

So, this post is a combination of what I missed, and what I'm gonna miss in the future.

One of my favorite pictures of Miranda when she was 5 years old.

I love those sweet pictures. So true...we can't remember everything, but pictures sure help to spark those memories. Which is why I take so many. You never know what memory a picture will spark for which person. Everyone sees things differently. You children are so cute.

And aren't we blessed that we homeschool so we can spend more time with their childhood! Great post Alicia.

Your children are just beautiful...but you already knew that.

My little girl became a teen before I turned around. Time is fleeting but God has blessed us SO MUCH.

Have a lovely weekend.

Those photos are precious. Sometimes I miss when my children were that age. They ask me for memories sometimes and some of the things I have forgotten.

I love that picture of her. She is such a perfect little YOU : ). I can't think about this stuff too much. Lately I have been SO sad about Kaish growing up. The time just flies!

I so know what you mean. It's crazy how fast they grow up. Blogging is such a good way to document all of it. Have a great weekend. And like always, I love reading your blog. : )

My story would be basically the same as yours.....it makes me sad that I can't remember everything and that time goes by so quickly.

This is the sweetest post! I'm constantly reminded of that when I'm feeling overwhelmed with the kids and I find myself wishing the time away so things would be easier. But then I'm plagued with guilt, knowing the years go by fast and there will be a time I wish I had the chaos and disorganization back in my life again.

I'm in the process of making a b-day video for Cole and Bella and I have such a hard time looking back at all those pics and videos...it just makes me realize how much they've changed in only one year!

Oh there are a lot of moments that I am going with my children. If only I could let them remain bubbly babies and not grow into makukulit kids I'd really do that. There are things that we do to them that we cannot do to them anymore when they are grown ups..

I've never had the thought, "They grow SO fast" as much in life as I have since I've had kids. And it's crazy because I remember as a child thinking that life was going soooo slow. I really do thank God for the miracle of photography.
