FRIDAY PHOTO FLASHBACK

I started "Friday Photo Flashback" because I have so many pictures from my PRE-digital camera days. I thought it would be fun to scan them and share them here with you. I'm having so much fun doing this, that I would love for you to join me, too! So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Don't forget to sign in to MckLinky so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs.

1983-8th grade Graduation

I wanted to post this in a couple of weeks, but I couldn't wait! My baby/eldest son is graduating from 8th grade next month, and looking at this picture of me makes me think of how he is going to feel walking in the ceremony receiving his certificate!

We have been homeschooling since he was in Kindergarten, and for him to be able to participate in a graduation ceremony means the world to me (and he is excited about it too). The K-12 program that we use has 8th grade & High School graduation ceremonies, so kids from all over the area get to experience it for themselves!

It's so funny because his friends are like, "You have a ceremony and you're homeschooled?"

So, here is me, graduating from 8th grade! I still remember shopping with my mom for my dress! I loved it!

That is neat that he gets to graduate from 8th grade just like other kids. I didn't play Flashback but I did post a photo that I scanned today from when I was a baby.

Have a wonderful weekend!

You know what's funny, I've been wanting to post a picture from my 8th grade graduation but keep forgetting to scan it, lol. I'm going through the scans I already have on my computer and when I get done with those I'm going to start scanning my other pictures.

Alicia, I applaud you for homeschooling your kids. Don't know how you do it but I'm sure you have the definite patience to teach your kids. I'm homeschooling my little girl for preschool and she will start kindergarten this August.

I remember the 80's style and your dress, if I'm not mistaken, is in this fashion season.

Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

I still remember my white dress.

It's a pretty dress, love the belt! They never had 8th graduation when I was a kid!

My oldest could have graduated highschool with other homeschoolers but he wasn't interested. That was fine, saved us the trip, lol!

I had to view you in IE because Firefox won't let me see your pictures due to something about Photobucket. I don't understand any of this but it's what I've figured out, lol!

How fun that your son gets to have a ceremony! That's so exciting. I hope it goes awesome!

Fun flashing back to your 8th grade graduation ceremony! Will you be mad if I tell you I was 2 in 1983? Lol! C'mon...laugh, you know you wanna!

Love the dress, though! The 80's rocked when it came to fashion!
