WORDFUL WEDNESDAY

HOME SCHOOLED!

Photobucket
Let me just point out (for those who are much younger than I), that this is an old school Atari video game controller. A couple of people have commented that it looked like a middle finger. Oops, I didn't even think of that. Atari was the first video game console I ever played, so that's why I picked this for my son (who is a video gamer)!

Before anyone gets offended, WE are a home schooling family. Nine years now, to be exact, and proud of it!

So, just know, I'm not saying homeschoolers play video games all day (contrary to what some people may think), but I just had to get this one!!

I won a giveaway at Mom's Mutterings, and was able to pick a t-shirt from Crazy Dog T-Shirts. They have a huge selection to choose from! But, if you knew my son, he LOVES his Xbox Live and PS3, so this t-shirt was perfect!!

Be sure to visit 7 Clown Circus for Wordful Wednesday

Amen that you are proud to be a home schooling family. God Bless you in raising your children in the ways of God. I pray for the privilage to be able to raise my children in a Christian home and teach them the ways of God(if it is God's will). Sorry for the long post, I just get so excited when I think or hear about godly women teaching their children the ways of God. I never grew up in a Christian home, but I pray that I will be able to (one day) grow and teach children about God.

Too funny that you had to explain about the controller. lol

I'm glad he likes his shirt!

I don't know how you do it. I can't imagine home schooling. I would be afraid that I wouldn't be structured enough. We have a lot of Mom's in our church who home school and I admire you all.

Ahhh...the days of the old video games. Too funny that people have never seen those before. I am feeling old now.

I remember my brother and I playing Pac Man during the summers when we were kids. I would love to have an atari now, I think they're collectables. Darn, if we would have only held on to it. =) so anyway, no jackfruit here. I knew our store wouldn't =( We are really a little town, no selection. Sometimes they don't even have skim or 1% milk even. The closest big town is 4-5 hours away. uh yeah... we're in the boonies, LOL. Maybe when I get to Billings I'll look at finding jackfruit because I'd love to try that recipe!

It doesn't look like that to me and I had that system too!

Oh how I remember the Atari of course before that was Pong. LOL.... Showing our age I guess.

I must say I would play Atari over any of the new game systems today. But I get lost when I have to push more than one button. To complex for my simple mind.

I think it is a cool t-shirt.

I think it is awesome that you home school, I would really love to be able to do that with our girls but I have to work, especially now that hubby is back in school. Anyway, way to go! The shirt is great, I remember Atari well!

Oh the memories!!!! My oldest sons 1st gaming system..Wow if you could see what our other sons have now . But we are super strict of what games are allowed in our home. That they do not like. You'd think they wiould know how blessed they are for what they have. Are they ever satisfied????
Love the way you are both raising your family. We had a bit of a late start in our daily walk with God but we too are continuing to know HIS blessings.
Life is soooo much better walking with God daily. Not just trying to on Sunday's,,ya know.
So happy I found your blog..
Blessings and Hugs from Iowa~~~Dena
