WORDFUL & WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

My son, Daniel decided he finally liked skateboarding! It's not that he didn't before, it's just he never really tried it.

The youth pastor gave my eldest son a skateboard a long time ago and it just sits in his closet. Well, my husband told my Daniel (my almost 7 year old) to bring it to church Friday night, and as you can see, he caught on pretty quick....until the little "oops" at the end!

And no worries, he was totally fine! Just like the trooper he is, he got right up and went for it again!

Be sure to visit 5 Minutes For Mom for more Wordless Wednesday, and 7 Clown Circus for Wordful Wednesday.

  3. Ouch! I should show you my daughters wounds from skateboarding barefooted in shorts. Not a pretty sight!

I'm glad he was ok, because my laughing at his fall would have been very inappropriate........ :)

  9. Glad he's okay. :) I remember begging my dad for a skateboard because my cousins had one; he got me a pair of roller skates instead, because he thought they were "safer." Not quite the same thrill, though. Haha!

  12. Whew! That fall - glad to know he's OK! I've got some skateboarders over here, too! Just wait til he learns to do those freaky board flip tricks! I've had to stop looking or watching - it takes my breath away how dangerous it looks!

  17. We have a skateboard gathering dust in the garage. My oldest had to have it but he is too timid to actually use it. I imagine one of his younger brothers will have a blast with it one day. Great video! Glad he was okay- knowing that, the fall is pretty funny.

  22. Scary! I would make him wear a helmet (but I am a mean mommy) and that is why my son won't ride a skateboard. He doesn't want to wear one! I am glad your kiddo is okay!

  25. LOL, I'm so afraid to watch kids get on skate boards! I always imagine them face planting! *sigh* I'll have to get over it eventually, since I'm sure my son will want to try it in the future, but thanks to your video, I'm that much closer to not sweating every time there's a child and a skateboard next to each other! ;-)
