FRIDAY PHOTO FLASHBACK

I started "Friday Photo Flashback" because I have so many pictures from my PRE-digital camera days. I thought it would be fun to scan them and share them here with you. I'm having so much fun doing this, that I would love for you to join me, too! So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Don't forget to sign in to MckLinky so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs!

I know this picture is crooked, but desperate times calls for desperate measures!

Last week, I spilled coffee on my keyboard (you would think I'd learn my lesson after doing that twice before), and, well, it no longer works!! So, now I'm bidding on a new keyboard on Ebay! My scanner is hooked up to that computer, so unfortunately I can't scan a new photo and upload to my MAC! Thank God I have the kids computer to use!

Well, Facebook comes to the rescue, AGAIN! One of my friends from Jr. High tagged this picture of me and my friends from 8th grade...1983!!! My first response to her was, "I don't remember anyone carrying a camera around back then!!"

I don't even recall taking this picture!

She's so funny because she had to scan it against the backside of another photo to make it come out, but for some reason she scanned it lopsided!

So, there I am on the far left, with the off white, funky, I don't even know what style that is, outfit! It looks like we could be sitting on something! The two two girls were some of my closest friends (who I was also able to reconnect with on Facebook)! Jr. High/Middle School was a fun time for me. I was able to establish some really great friendships back then! Good times....good times!!

  4. It does look like something from a yearbook! What a fun picture!! Isn't it funny to look back at those pics and see your hairstyles and clothes?! I used to feather my hair back then too in middle school and I thought I was the bomb.

  5. It may not be how you wanted it but it looks "cool" like that. Glad you were able to reconnect and FB came to the rescue.

I think I'm going to sit this week out but then again, I may link up tomorrow. I don't like my last birthday picture but I may end up posting something else.

  6. I reconnected with my best friends from middle school through classmates.com not too long ago! We got together and it was so much fun catching up with them and seeing where our lives took us.

That is a great picture. I had a similar hairstyle as yours :)

  7. Oh my gosh! I have some pictures that are "cut out" like that, too!

  8. Great picture!!! I think the clothes & hairstyles are really cute! I think I would much rather dress my daughter like that, than the revealing styles that are so popular even with grade school kids right now.

I hope you get a replacement keyboard fast!! When my monitor died we got one cheap on Craigs list.

I've been connecting with a lot of people from high school on Facebook, I keep hoping no really embarrassing pictures of me surface. I have a few of other people, but I'm keeping them as insurance in case they try posting any of me. LOL!

  12. I hope you won't take this the wrong way when I say this but this picture reminds me of the band Menudo...Yes, I realize that they were boys so that part is not what I mean but the outfits and the way you are all sitting..they had an album cover like that...;) But you are all still much prettier than Ricky Martin!!!

  24. It looks like the actual picture was cut out in your shapes...that's hilarious! :)

I hate that your keyboard got messed up...at least it wasn't a laptop and then it probably would have been fried. I say that as I am sitting here typing on mine with my coffee cup right in front of me. I would die if mine got messed up since I haven't gotten all of my pictures saved off of here yet. Guess I need to get to that! :)
