MY BOYS GOT BAPTIZED!!

This past Sunday, my two youngest sons decided they wanted to get baptized!! They announced that morning that they were going to have baptisms after the evening service.

I'm so blessed to have children that love the Lord and that they totally understand the meaning of baptism. It's not about tradition, or doing it because it is a requirement of being a Christian.

I couldn't help but get teary eyed! It was such a profound moment!!! Miranda and her friends were all yelling in the sacntuary..."Wooo..Eli....woo Danny!!"

That night, six children and one adult were baptized!! God is good!!!!

Our Associate Pastor, Brad, talking with Eli before he gets baptized.
Yay!
Danny's turn! And there's Eli in the background!
Yoo hoo!!

  2. Praise the Lord that your kids are baptized already sis!! Baptism serves our confirmation of our faith to the Lord. We die with Him in His death and rose with Him as new creations on His resurrection. Amen..

  20. That's wonderful! And I think it's even more wonderful that it was their choice and not something that you had them do out of tradition. I think it's more meaningful to them when they're the ones who decide to do it. Beautiful pictures!!!!

  25. That is just so exciting. I cried when my kids got baptized!

Once my hubby had a baptism to do and he called because the other people forget their towels, so I had to bring extra towels.

Hubby has to bring a change of clothes, of course, because otherwise he'll be preaching in wet shorts and a t-shirt, lol! (One time he forgot his clothes and I had to bring those too....hehehehe!)

  31. That's just wonderful! In the church I grew up in, baptism was a dedication from the parents and profession of faith was when the children were old enough to make their own decision about their path. I was the only one in my family who went through profession of faith (no water involved.)

  32. i love it, it is always heart warming when your children make the choice to be followers of Christ. WE baptize also in our church. The baptism for us is very symbolic, and we baptize wearing all white. Congrats on this moment in your and their lives.
