WORDFUL WEDNESDAY

Denny's had their Grand Slam breakfast free, for a few hours today.

Normally, I don't get into these kinds of promotions because the crowd and long lines do not appeal to me.

But, my friend called me this morning and told me that it wasn't too crowded, and that I should go. In fact, I did go by there last year (for the same reason), but the line was out the door. Ugh, no thanks!

So, I asked my little ones if they wanted to go (my older ones were still sleeping), and they were more than willing!

When I put our name on the waiting list, I noticed there was a page full of people before us, but they were seating people pretty quickly. At first I was ready to leave, but no more than five minutes later, I hear, "Alicia..for four...Alicia for four!"

So, we had a yummy, full pancake breakfast, plus it was nice to get out early today!

    $9? That's an awesome deal! Where in the heck was I today? I hate lines too, no amount of savings is worth standing in line forever. I am way too impatient for that! It looks like you all had a great breakfast - yummy :)

    I heard a lot of people saying they wouldn't go because of the wait times. Maybe it's because enough people avoided it for that reason that nobody did have to wait very long!

    I briefly thought about going but there's no Denny's within a 15-minute driving distance so I figured it wouldn't be worth it. Glad you got to go though...

    Hello! Visiting from Serial Crafter because I think the Friday Flash Back is such a great idea!

    Guess what? My husband and I went to Denny's too! We arrived just past 6 am because we were not sure how long the wait would be and we had to be sure he could get to work on time. It was really fun and we just paid for coffee and tip.

    oh i remember loving denny's when we lived in south beach....we'd stay up till wee hours of the morning then be really hungry & would order a takeout breaky....and devour it just so!

    My BIL loves Denny's Grand Slam breakfast and I'm wondering if he knew about and took advantage of the opportunity? Love all the adorable pictures of your kids.
