FRIDAY PHOTO FLASHBACK

I started "Friday Photo Flashback" because I have so many pictures from my PRE-digital camera days. I thought it would be fun to scan them and share them here with you. I'm having so much fun doing this, that I would love for you to join me, too! So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Don't forget to sign in to MckLinky so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs!

Is this picture vintage or what?

This is my grandma and my sister, when she was around 6 or 7 months old. I remember seeing home videos of my grandparents bamboo furniture when I was also a baby, but they eventually transitioned into the 70's floral pattern couch. And how do you like my sisters old school walker? I wonder how safe those were back then?

  9. What a coincidence! We had a very similar bamboo couch bought in the Philippines before transitioning to the floral orange and brown couch.

  11. I think it is not bamboo but rattan furniture because of the design. It is only few years back that bamboo furniture is on the market because of the budget price. Happy fpf.

  14. Yes, my parents had rattan furniture similar to this from the Philippines :o)

And as very young, new parents, we bought one of these (haha)"safe" walkers (from a second hand store) for our oldest when she was born in 1983. Actually, don't think it ever collapsed on her...

    Love your photo!

  16. I remember this kind of walker. In the Philippines, we even have the wooden version sans the wheels. Dunno if they still sell that (the wooden one) these days.

  19. I LOVE the bamboo furniture!! It's gorgeous!

I remember my sister having a baby walker that looked a lot like that one! It was probably more robust than the plastic ones of today, but I don't think the metal frame would be very good for teething babies cutting their first teeth on! (Ouch!!)

  24. Look at how much time has changed. The bamboo couch and the baby walker. Your sister was such a cutie! I think some stores like Pier 1 Imports are bring back classic design furniture.
