My three youngest kids were playing in the jungle (I mean our backyard) the other day, and my daughter came inside to hand me these.
She said, "Look mommy, I picked these for you."
Even though they are just a bunch of weeds, to her they were pretty flowers.
It's moments like these that I don't ever want to take for granted.

ReplyDeleteThe cute thought that counts. They look pretty, just put some water and they'll bloom! I wish someone gave me flowers =(

ReplyDeleteOh the simplicity of children. We forget to see the beauty in things and yet they are not clouded when they look. How very sweet.
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean. I love the fact that when my kids see a dandelion or other flowering weed, they see the beauty in it and then they desire to share that with me. Truly humbling. And heart melting!

Alicia, I know I commented already but I just read your comment on my blog. Thank you! I don't know if you're aware of what happened last week...if so, ignore this. If not read "Blogger vs Blogger"--I recap it briefly so you only have to read a paragraph...I just think it's something you should know about since you post pics of your kids.
ReplyDeleteAmen Alicia!
ReplyDeleteThose are the kind of flowers I will miss one day, too. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, beautiful. The flowers too. :-)

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful feeling to know your little one have you in her heart all the time. I remember when I was in middle school or so, my friends used to chew these flowers and I remember they tasted sour. I'm not sure if it's the same kind of flowers though. Sure looks like it!
ReplyDeleteSo very sweet!!! Don't they just melt your heart? <3
