1975-ish
Just looking at the kitchen decor, would you be able to guess that this was the 70's era?
I never realized how yellow everything was. And wow..I even match with it!
One memory that sticks out when I look at this picture is that I used to love sitting on my dad's lap. I still remember him wanting to carry me even when I knew I was past that "toddler" age. It kind of makes me sad too, because when he remarried in 1980, he changed so much. He wasn't as affectionate with us. But, I'm just thankful that I know that I have a father who is loving and kind. It really goes to show how we can remember even the smallest details of our childhood.
I agree, at least you have a father who is loving and kind, :)
ReplyDeleteI think yellow just might be your color, dear! Totally adorable! And I'm glad to see you still do Flashback Friday! I've been away from the goings on in blogville for too long! I must link up soon!
ReplyDeleteI had a phone that color.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by Emma's Lunch. I'm your newest follower.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your kids doing so well at school! :)

Oh! you are so cute.....
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Everything was yellow...even the phone cord! I love it:)
ReplyDeleteI love that you are able to have that relationship with your dad now!
ReplyDeleteEven the phone cord is yellow - they must have loved that color :)
It is the little things we remember most and have so much meaning.
ReplyDeleteYes it's good to have those memories that just warms your heart. And the other ones make you appreciate the heart - warmers more.
ReplyDeleteYou were such a cutie.
And you know. Reading this makes me realize that at a certain age, all you think about is your childhood memories. Then when you move on and get older like say 60, 70, all you think about is in your 20s and 30s. Or at least that's how it seems to me.
Happy Weekend!
You are a cutie!
ReplyDeleteI just know that vintage yellow is going to be back "in" someday. But I'm going to run from it screaming! ;) Though somehow you managed to pull off the yellow glow with style.
ReplyDeleteI love flashing back with you:-)
ReplyDeleteGreat memories! That is so cool!
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow. I guess it was really in - because I remember my house having a lot of it too - and orange!
LOL love the hair, and I think I have some photos that have this same tint. I love this idea, now to just remember it!
ReplyDeletegreat picture......Its always great to look back on happy memories
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThat is really so sweet how much you wanted to be next to your dad :o)
ReplyDeleteAs a kid, my absolute favorite color was yellow!
Blessings & Aloha!
That yellow phone cord reminded me of a memory. We had a long brown phone cord that I would stretch for miles and get in tons of trouble. ;)
ReplyDeleteGrowing up we had one CORDED phone in the kitchen...I had forgotten all about that until I saw your photo!
ReplyDeleteI had that same exact haircut! Love it!
