My Baby...Now A Teen!

How did that happen? I know that sounds so cliche!! But, really, so fast???

Viva Las Vegas

I've been to Vegas once, and that was over 20 years ago! My husband has never been. When our friends asked if we wanted to bowl in a tournament, we were totally excited! Not so much for "Vegas," but for us to have another little getaway!!

So, off we went on our 7+ hour drive, and it was smooth sailing all the way!!

The ladies! This was the night before the tournament and we just had dinner!

I'm so glad our friend told us to bet on the sidepot! My husband won $$ for a handicap game! He bowled a 246, and with his handicap, it totaled 291!

After the tournament, we had lunch, freshened up at our room, and then we all headed to the Bellagio for dinner!

Our friend made reservations for us for the Chef Table at at the Bellagio, and we were all thrilled! It is a buffet, but being at the chef table, the chef himself comes out and serves us a four course dinner. We literally didn't eat food from the regular buffet (except for extra dessert) because we were so full! Totally worth the money!

Can't believe we have a 20 year old now (far left)! Well, this is a late post, so he's been 20 since July.lol.

Mount Davidson Park

My husband and I go on many dates. Day, night, doesn't matter. The point is, we are alone, and we don't have to worry about the kids! It doesn't even have to be anything extravagant or over the top to consider it a "date." We just enjoy each others company, and that's the whole point.

Anyway, back in August, we decided to check out this trail in the city. You would never even guess this huge place was in the middle of a residential area. In fact, once you're in there, you feel like you're in a rain forest. For real! It was gorgeous! But, of course, I've watched one too many scary movies, and I was certain we were going to run into a crazy person!!

And here's a fun fact for you. A shot from Dirty Harry was filmed here! Pretty cool!!!

Birthday Boy!

When my son turned 16 back in June, my mom wanted to take him to lunch for some on one time. Well, we decided we wanted to join them, so we dropped in on their lunch date!!

The City By The Bay

As long as we've lived in California (our entire lives), we've never taken a ferry ride in the bay! I wanted to do something different with the kids before they went back to school, so I knew this would be perfect! I got tickets for us to take a little tour under the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, and it was so fun! It wasn't too long (about an hour), and everyone enjoyed it! We were just missing our oldest daughter because she couldn't take the day off of work.
