I started "Friday Photo Flashback" because I have so many pictures from my PRE-digital camera days. I thought it would be fun to scan them and share them here with you. I'm having so much fun doing this, that I would love for you to join me, too! So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Don't forget to sign in to MckLinky so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs!
Is this picture vintage or what?
This is my grandma and my sister, when she was around 6 or 7 months old. I remember seeing home videos of my grandparents bamboo furniture when I was also a baby, but they eventually transitioned into the 70's floral pattern couch. And how do you like my sisters old school walker? I wonder how safe those were back then?
Wow, this is true vintage without any Photoshop actions! I remember the bamboo furniture from the olden days. :)
That is very vintage :)
Wow, it doesn't look safe at all!!! LOL!
aww... she's a sweetie! Bet she really got around in her walker.
Oh my gosh, this is such a COOL picture!!! How great is that!
I love it! That walker is the best!
Wow, this is absolutely a golden memory!
Absolute vintage! This reminds me of the bamboo furniture in Grandma's house. Thanks for the flash-back!!
I love this picture! Nice! I love the couch! It's so unique!
Have a great Friday! :)
Those walkers were something else. Great old pic!
What a coincidence! We had a very similar bamboo couch bought in the Philippines before transitioning to the floral orange and brown couch.
oh my gosh! I can't believe that was a walker! probably the top of the line back then!
I think it is not bamboo but rattan furniture because of the design. It is only few years back that bamboo furniture is on the market because of the budget price. Happy fpf.
Wow that walker is priceless!!! What a great picture
Eek! That walker looks so scary! Not to mention uncomfortable. I bet your sis loved it though. This is a great flashback pic!
Yes, my parents had rattan furniture similar to this from the Philippines :o)
And as very young, new parents, we bought one of these (haha)"safe" walkers (from a second hand store) for our oldest when she was born in 1983. Actually, don't think it ever collapsed on her...
Love your photo!
Blessings & Aloha!
(I am able to use one of the computers at the hotel, so yay! I'm glad I can join in before I head out for day 2 of the dental conference here in Atlanta...but won't have time to visit everyone til I get back home)
Wow! That is flashback at its finest!!! pretty sure there is a recall or 2 on that walker. :)
I remember this kind of walker. In the Philippines, we even have the wooden version sans the wheels. Dunno if they still sell that (the wooden one) these days.
I love this old fashioned picture. You were seriously the cutest little girl in the planet!
I hate to say it, but that walker is SCARY! And umm, I kind of like that bamboo furniture. :)
I LOVE the bamboo furniture!! It's gorgeous!
I remember my sister having a baby walker that looked a lot like that one! It was probably more robust than the plastic ones of today, but I don't think the metal frame would be very good for teething babies cutting their first teeth on! (Ouch!!)
That is seriously the greatest picture! Love the old look of every aspect of that picture! I alway enjoy your Friday post ALicia!
Have a great weekend my friend!
That old school walker is hilarious! I'm thinking they probably weren't very safe back them! Love the couch too...so fun and retro!
Loving the couch!!! Reminds me of my uncles house growing up, I think he had the exact same one :)
Love the couch! Wow, that walker is crazy!!
awwww - she's so cute!! Love her cheeks!! :)
Look at how much time has changed. The bamboo couch and the baby walker. Your sister was such a cutie! I think some stores like Pier 1 Imports are bring back classic design furniture.
Great old photo!
I love those old school walkers lol
Have a blessed day :)
Isn't that funny how all that stuff we loved when we were young looks so dangerous now?
Oh I hope she never banged her head on that metal bar! Ouch!!
I love the look! What a classic photo, for sure!!
I can't believe they put us in those metal contraptions!!
I absolutely love this idea. I might just join in next week!! What a sweet picture!
