As most of you know, my kids are now going to a private school, and one of the things I was so excited about was SCHOOL PICTURES! Being homeschooled, we never had them done (besides I have so many random pictures of them anyway). I just love how they came out, and I know for most people, it's not a huge deal because they get them done every year..lol.
In case you're wondering, my kids have adjusted well to going to school. I thought that getting up early was going to be the biggest adjustment, but I was wrong. Just learning to follow the teachers instructions was a challenge at first (for example, having to raise your hand to ask a question, versus just randomly asking when they needed to). But, after the first week, they really caught on! My older kids need to catch up on pre Algebra, but the school is so good as far as working with them, and also not pressuring them to feel like they have to be where everyone else is at. My kids like their teachers, and it's a blessing to hear praise reports from them. Isaiah has led worship for chapel on one Friday, and just today, the principal asked if he would be able to play guitar for their church on Sunday because their guitarist is out of town. God is so good!!
My kids have always been "social," so I knew that that wasn't going to be an issue as far as them making friends. Plus, they already have a few friends from church that go to the school as well! Overall, God has really blessed us, and I can see now why he has us at this particular place. I'm also finding opportunities to pray with some of the kids when I'm on yard duty, and with someone in particular. But, I will have to share this on another day!!
I sooooo miss visiting your blogs, but I promise to find time and just do it!!!

Ooops! See, all I had to do was read back and answer my own question about the home-schooling. :)
So, I'm curious to know: what have you been doing with your free time, now that your 5 kids are in school??
