FRIDAY PHOTO FLASHBACK

I started "Friday Photo Flashback" because I have so many pictures from my PRE-digital camera days. I thought it would be fun to scan them and share them here with you. I'm having so much fun doing this, that I would love for you to join me, too! So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Don't forget to sign in to MckLinky so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs!

1979

When I look at this picture, I remember that I hated wearing that dress! Plus, with the "boy" haircut, the last thing I felt was feminine. I was 10 years old at the time, and this was the morning of my First Communion.

Another weird detail that I recall was the carpet in our home. Those of you that grew up in the 70's probably remember having "shag carpet."

Aw, you are so cute! I was thinking how about those drapes!! the only good thing about shag carpet is I bet it made really good vacuum lines. (I have issues, I know)

Oh my gosh, can I please hug you?! We had the same haircut, the same carpeting in our homes, the same 70s brick fireplaces used as posing platforms by our parents! LOL! This picture actually brings back fond memories for me! :-)

Awww, I think you looked adorable! Remember when those fluffy long dresses were all the rage?? I always felt like such a princess when my mom would let me wear one. Now girls want short skirts...go figure!

I totally remember the shag carpet. Ours was an ugly shade of orange!

Too cute! I also had my hair like that in the 80s and my mom said she cut it to like like Princess Diana. I didn't think so. :).

Have a great weekend!

Aww! You were a cutie. No carpet for me though. My mom was too proud of her hardwood floors.
