This is a picture of me (left) with my mom and my sister. I was around 9 years old. You can hardly see it, but I'm holding a lollipop in my left hand, and I remember rubbing it on my lips so they could turn red! I wanted it to look like I was wearing lipstick! I also loved that tank top I was wearing. And it's so funny how kids always make peace signs in pictures!

I used to do that with my suckers too!! And love that top! my oldest is all about making peace signs anytime I put the camera in his face!
I used to do that with my lollipop too! This does bring back flash-backs of my childhood.

haha! I did that too! And it sure looks like it worked on you. Actually my favorite tootsie roll pop was the red ones for this very purpose...but running a close second was the chocolate flavored tootsie roll pop, but that didnt give the desired lipstick look :o)

Wow red lips! You are so cute, Alicia and i smiled seeing the peace sign because i just realized kids love to that even long time ago. It's still an "in" in the generation of young people today.

Amazing! your mom looks like she is a sister and not your mom. I mean, she looks so young! and I thought you were the one on the right. LOL. I got all mixed up.
I know my boys make those signs too. we told them though to becareful not to make gang signs. scary thought. We live so detatched from all that but will be going to the States soon. getting ready. ;)

not only with lollipops but I also used to rub this one red bubble gum on my lips to make it really dark red.
