Friday Photo Flashback

I started "Friday Photo Flashback" because I have so many pictures from my PRE-digital camera days. I thought it would be fun to scan them and share them here with you. I'm having so much fun doing this, that I would love for you to join me, too! So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Don't forget to link up so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs!
July 1996
This is a repost from when I first started FPF two years ago!

This is a picture of me and my eldest son, Isaiah, in 1996. I can't believe he was ever this tiny because now he is taller than me and has a "man voice."! But, I remember this day like it was yesterday! He was one month premature due to a placenta previa. It all happened so fast, and I think that moment was just so surreal to me. When you are pregnant with your first child, you don't even think that there may be any complications at all. I just thank God that he pulled through! He had to stay in the NICU for a week because on top of the antibiotics he was getting, he ended up with jaundice. I tell ya though...there is no way to describe delivering a baby and going home empty handed. I mean, I knew he was going to be okay and come home eventually, but it was just weird to go out and people not know that I just had a baby. It was just so surreal!

This was the day after I gave birth. I was so anxious to see him. People were tripping out that I was walking back and forth from my room to the NICU to see him! He was 6lbs and 3oz!

I know that feeling. Been there five times myself. And you looked down at that little miracle with your hubby and said, "Look what we did"! I love old pictures!!!

what a healthy baby. adorable. I love looking at my babies pictures too when they were still infant and wonder how time flies by. Imagine from being so tiny, fragile to big and very dependent human being. life is amazing.

Mine is up

Oh my gosh! I didn't know that! Thank God he was alright! My boy was born with jaundice, too, and I was balling my eyeballs out because I thought it was my fault! :-) I insisted on staying in the hospital with him, so I can't even imagine what it would be like to leave the hospital without your baby! Yeesh!

What a precious moment! I can't even imagine how that would feel. How wonderful that he's so strong and healthy.

My two boys were preemies too, so I know the feeling well of not going home with a baby in your arms. Hard to believe they were once so small, isnt it? So glad he was soon healthy too!
