NOW I CAN APPRECIATE...

WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS!

When we were homeschooling, the weekdays were just the same as weekends. Saturday didn't really have any significance except for daddy being home, and of course, Sunday was church. I never worried about bed times and not being out past 8pm. The kids sleeping in was never an issue either. Grocery shopping on the weekends? Yah, right! Never!

Now, I really appreciate having a schedule and seeing how much we have benefited from it! Not that I didn't have one before, but it's different being on someone else's time! This makes Friday's much more enjoyable, and the weekend so much more exiting to look forward to!

So, I am going to enjoy our four day weekend! I just want to catch up on my laundry and veg out. It's so nice to be at home and not rush to be anywhere!!

Thanksgiving turned out great. My sis in-law came over, and we all just hung out!

I am already looking forward to our two week Christmas vacation!!!

And of course, I can't blog without sharing a couple of pictures.

Here is Danny at the Thanksgiving feast at school! What a cutie!

It was Eli's turn for show & tell. Most of the questions from his friends were about his art work.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I could not go this week without doing a Thankful Thursday post..especially since it is THANKSGIVING!! I've done a few posts already on what I am thankful for, but I feel led to share what I'm thankful for TODAY! I'll narrow it down to ten!

  • I'm thankful that our church is having a potluck for people who don't have anyone to share Thanksgiving with. You always hear that the holidays are the lonliest times for some people.
  • I'm thankful for the family and friends who want to spend Thanksgiving with us.
  • I'm thankful that we have an abundance of food on the table.
  • I'm thankful for the Worship music playing in the background.
  • I'm thankful that my children will have full tummies all day.
  • I'm thankful for the heat I feel through the vents.
  • I'm thankful for a husband who puts God first.
  • I'm thankful for my personal relationship with Jesus.
  • I'm thankful that my children have come to a knowledge of Jesus Christ at a young age.
  • I'm thankful that we have a Savior that is worthy to be praised!
"Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms." Psalm 95:2
