SCRIPTURE SUNDAY

On Sundays, I usually post something random. I decided that instead of doing that, I will share a scripture. I pray that it will be a blessing to whoever reads it!

"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.-2 Chronicles 7:14

MAN'S BEST FRIEND

Is also our best friend too!

Our little Mocha is like our little baby. For those of you who don't have a pet, I totally understand the eye rolling. Believe me, I was there too!

Veronica has come a long way with dogs. She used to be so scared of them. When we first got our puppy, it was only 8 weeks old and Veronica would jump on the couch when Mocha would walk by her. Now look at her!

**UPDATE ON MOCHA**
No, she is NOT pregnant. Woohoo!

FRIDAY PHOTO FLASHBACK

I started "Friday Photo Flashback" because I have so many pictures from my PRE-digital camera days. I thought it would be fun to scan them and share them here with you. I'm having so much fun doing this, that I would love for you to join me, too! So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Don't forget to sign in to MckLinky so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs!

This was a VERY special day for my husband.

In fact, it was a special day for his entire family.

Why..you ask?

This was the day he was officially adopted.

However, his parents had him since he was just three days old. So, to them, he was already their son. In this picture he was 6 years old (the age of my youngest daughter now).

30/52 PICTURES OF ME

I'm participating in a year long challenge, created by Carin at Forever In Blue Jeans. The goal is to be in one picture a week, for 52 weeks. Since us moms are always behind the camera, this gives us a chance to get out in front and be in the pictures with our family. So, click here if you want to join in on the fun!

Yes, I know, it's me and Danny, AGAIN!

We were finishing up his school work, and he was right next to me (lucky guy)! I had my handy dandy camera right here, and some decent light coming through the window. I didn't realize that we were matching until I saw the picture. Now, it's one of my favorites, and I'm using it for my Facebook profile too!

WORDFUL WEDNESDAY

Nine times out of 10, I'll make my husbands lunch for him. It usually consists of two sandwiches (one peanut butter & jelly for the morning, and a meat one for lunch). If we have chips or crackers, I'll add those in too.

It's very rare that I don't make it, but if I don't, I know he will fend for himself. I mean, he works in San Francisco, so there are PLENTY of options for him.

So, when I was telling him how so many of you were impressed by his cell phone picture of the Bay Bridge, he continued to show me a picture of what he ate for lunch one day. Gee..I wonder where he got the idea of taking pictures of his food?

Anyway, he had to emphasize HOW GOOD it was!!

Yes, I was a little jealous.

His tri-tip, bacon and cheddar cheese sandwich. Do you think he saved ME some?

Ha! I wouldn't have either!

You should have heard me after I looked at the pictures. I told him, "Send those to my phone right away so I can email it to myself. This is a total blog post!!"

I know..I so need a life!

DINNER'S READY!

I am not confident enough to share my home cooked recipes with the world, but this time, I couldn't resist sharing a picture of my fried chicken that I made recently.

It's one of those times when the flavor was just right on, and the coating was light, yet crispy. Trust me when I say that I don't have any secret seasonings. Just good ole' salt & pepper!

All I use is egg, flour, salt, pepper, and oil for frying.

This was not all the chicken I made. These are the pieces that were left over after everyone ate. I flattened (is that the right word?) the boneless chicken breasts so they would cook alot faster. For the sides, we had white rice & green salad. I also made a potato salad as well.

Mmm..mmmm!

Fried to perfection! Well, perfect enough for me.

I tried to get all fancy with my rice presentation! I shaped them in a cup and seasoned it with fresh ground pepper. I cut up the chicken and drizzled soy sauce over everything.

I'm happy to say that my family was very pleased, and that makes me happy!

And I have to add that my daughter wants me to prepare her rice like that everyday! LOL

BUDDIES FOR LIFE!

My two younger boys, Eli (9), and Danny (7), are very close.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that Danny wants to do EVERYTHING Eli does. If Eli's going somewhere, he wants to go too. If Eli decides not to wear gel in his hair, Danny doesn't want to either. It's so funny, and cute at the same time.

I love that he looks up to him, and I'm even more thankful that Eli is such a great influence on Danny. Eli is pretty mellow and level headed, while Danny is my "on the go/fearless" type of guy. It's the perfect balance!

Eli LOVES to dance, and that actually helped Danny come out of his shell to dance in front of other people too (our friends). They even made up their own routine one day!

They are so different, yet have so many things in common.

I just pray that their relationship continues to grow, and stay strong. I'm so glad that all my kids have each other, too. It's just so neat to see how their relationships develop with each other.

The next four pictures are of them at Great America. My sister in law took all my boys there one day. I'm glad she sent these to me.

SCRIPTURE SUNDAY

On Sundays, I usually post something random. I decided that instead of doing that, I will share a scripture. I pray that it will be a blessing to whoever reads it!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.-John 1:1
