WORDFUL WEDNESDAY-INTIMIDATION!

Need I say more?

However, this is our friends pit bull puppy, and he was very, very sweet. I've never pet a pit bull till now, and it was a little intimidating to say the least. My husband loved playing with him, and so did my oldest daughter, but I don't think I could be that comfortable playing tug of war with him like they did!

I love pitts! I have had nothing but good experiences with them!

That being said.

I still wouldnt allow my son around them unsupervised! More or less because you NEVER KNOW! I think I can trust that my son would be nice to the dog, but what if an accident happened!

Its good to be smart! But pitts are good dogs if they were raised to be!

My friend had the sweetest pitbull. Nala was a shy little girl who just wanted to be loved.

I have to admit that I am nervous around pits BUT I was also nervous about Rottie's as well. Our rottie is the sweetest & most gentle dog ever! I think it is all in how they are raised.....

I have to admit that does look a bit scary.

I've heard wonderful things about them but on the other hand I've heard equally bad things. It's hard to speak that broad about one breed but it still worries me a little especially around my little ones.

Sorry, but the pit bull is my least favorite of all dogs. :(

I'm not a big fan of pit bulls, but that's mostly because of all the recent horror stories of them turning bad and mauling small children. Plus our neighbor has one that they let run rampant...I'm always afraid of what might happen when he's roaming freely in our yard.

Dogs make me a little bit nervous in general(even thought I have 2). I have to honest and say I would be nervous around a pit bull too.

Oh my! Those teeth! Seriously, I know much of a dog's temperament has to do with how they were raised. Glad he's a sweetie!

I'm not a big fan of pit bulls since my SIL had one who wanted to take my leg off for no reason. :(

They do look super scary. Even when they are sweet. And when they are the ones with the red eyes. I pee myself a little sometimes. This is the kind of dog we will not be getting.

It must be the portrayal of these breeds, but I'm afraid of them. I however wouldn't mind having one as my own. Just can't pet someone's dog..

There are so many wonderful Pitts out there. It depends on their breeding and they way they are raised. I would be really careful around a strange one out in the streets and watch their attitude, but I've known a lot of really wonderful ones, including one of my son's.

On the other hand, there are some that are NOT great, like the one the went for my oldest son's throat when he was 8 years old. He will always have the scars from that one on his chest. That one already had attacked a couple of people and was supposed to be under quarantine and chained when it came out of it's yard and attacked him as he ran down the street. A case of the OWNER's fault!
