Considering my husband and I grew up in the Bay Area, neither of us have ever been to Alcatraz Island! We were planning another one of our "staycations," so what better time to do it then! From the boat ride to the tour, it was so worth. It is well organized, and just the history alone is amazing!!! I highly recommend this to everyone!!
After we were done with the tour, we went straight to the hotel, rested for a bit, cleaned up, and headed to dinner which was only a couple of blocks away. We wanted to try this Italian restaurant,
Barbacco, that had great reviews! Besides the uncomfortable chairs, the food was really tasty!
