The week before my kids started school, we were able to take one last field trip with our friends to Chevy's Fresh Mex Restaurant. I've been wanting to do this one for awhile, so I was glad we finally had one planned!
They do it before the restaurant opens to the public, and what they do is give a tour of the kitchen, show where everything is stored, and how they make certain foods.
They even feed you at the end, and the best part is that it's all FREE!!!!

This looks like so much fun. I read your previous post too. I'm so glad you are happy with the new school plans for this year. I taught art for 5 years and have now had a 24 year break from teaching. I'm still not ready to go back. (-: So glad God opened this door for you and your family.
Looks like a great field trip. I remember Chevy's when I lived in Portland, Yummy!
Oh my gosh! We loved Chevy's in California! Does your Chevy's have La Machina where the kids can watch it make the tortillas from tortilla balls and get raw balls to play with at the table? That was so fun. I even had my 37th birthday at Chevy's! What an awesome field trip...
