Girls Night IN

Last Saturday, the house was practically empty. 

Well, not really. It was just my youngest daughter and myself!

To cheer up her mood for being under the weather, I asked her if she wanted to have a tea party in the living room!!

That's what did it for her!

I made egg salad sandwiches, popped some popcorn, and she filled a plate with Hostess mini chocolate and powdered sugar donuts! 

I laid out a white sheet in the living room, and that was where we had our tea.

I Now Have Two 14 Year Olds In The House!

Yes..that's right! My two older children are only 10 1/2 months apart! So, until July 11th, I will have two 14 year olds!

On her birthday (last Thursday), she made cupcakes to bring to school, and her best friend also made her a cake. What a sweetie!! She was even able to get away with not wearing her official Jr. High "attire." Notice the basketball shorts she's wearing?

Anyway, for dinner, she decided she wanted Olive Garden. There's a new one by our house, so it was nice to not have to drive far! Thanks to my sis in-law for taking us out to dinner!!

We ran into my best friend from high school and her hubby! I haven't seen her in a long time, so I was catching up with her for awhile!

And they wouldn't sit still to take a nice picture, but this is THEM! My loves!

This has to be one of my favorite pictures of my oldest daughter, Miranda. She was four years old here, and enjoying my sister's puppy!! Yesterday, she turned 14 years old, and this picture seems like it was just yesterday. No matter how big she gets, she will always be my "little girl." 

  

Tea For Two..Or More

This past Saturday, I went to a ladies tea at our principals church (her hubby is the Pastor there). Anyway, it was a mother/daughter's tea, but I just went with my youngest daughter. My teenager thought it was going to be just a bunch of old ladies there (her exact words). I know..she's sweet, right?

Well, she missed out! We sat at my friends table (pictured below), and she had the sweetest table decor. It was so simple, but nonetheless, it was full of goodies! There was great finger foods, fun games and raffles (which I didn't win), and an awesome devotion!

1991

I'm surprised I never shared this photo before! 

My husband was in the Army Reserves in 1991! I still remember during this time that our relationship wad kind of on "hold." We still communicated through letters, but we weren't an official couple. Okay..so that's probably information that has nothing to do with this picture, but see..this is why I love old pictures. It brings back all kinds of memories!
