I am linking up with my friend,Mom's The Word to participate in her Monday meme, "Making Your Home Sing Monday." It's a day when we share what we are doing to bless our families in our home. If you would like to join in, click here.
Okay....I KNOW I said (last week) that I was going to declutter one room a day while my little ones were at VBS. Uhh...didn't happen! I was totally enjoying not doing anything as I had the house to myself!
This week is different though! VBS is done, and my two older kids are back from camp. Miranda is sick (but getting better), Danny has a cough, and on top of that, soccer practice starts TODAY...twice a week, for five kids! Actually, only two of the kids have practice tonight, and in addition to that, my husband decided that he was going to coach two teams again this year!
I don't know where I'm going with all this information, but I do know that with soccer, and with school starting in September, I need to make sure I stay on top of things! It always feels like I'm super busy for the entire soccer season. I know my laundry practically doubles with all the extra shorts, socks, sweatshirts, and uniforms I have to wash every other day!
It probably sounds like I'm complaining, but I'm not. I'm just jotting down notes for what is coming up. Also, with my husband coaching, I'm automatically the team mom. But, no worries, I won't bombard my blog with soccer pictures every week. I think you can only take so many of them with a soccer ball before they all start to look the same!! LOL!
OH..and how am I going to make my home sing this week? Having healthy meals so they can have enough energy for practice, and just staying on top of what needs to be done at home!

Wow! How do you keep up with it all? Sounds like you have such a busy time ahead and here I am struggling with 2 kids!
Love Collette xxx
"How do you eat an elephant? One piece at a time." That is what my dad used to say and that is how I approach my calendar/todo list when it gets overwhelming.
You are a wonderful mom.
I don't blame you for taking some time to yourself last week.
Hope the kids feel better!
Sounds like you did just what you needed to before all the craziness of sports and school start up again. Care to share your menu/meals? I feel like I'm making the same things over and over again.
Glad everyone is back safe and sound and starting to feel better! We start football this week too, every night! Love that you are preparing healthy meals to keep everyone ontop of their game! Way to go mom!!!
Susie said it very well-"one bite at a time." Try not to look at the big picture-that will stress you out (ask me how I know!)-but just try to look at and do what has to be done right now. Have a good week.
See you totally deserved that break seeing as your life is about to get crazy busy! I'm with you though. My kids go back to school about a week after we get back from vacation so we will be running around like mad getting ready. Fun times I tell ya :)
hope you share with me those healthy recipes
Why is it so hard to stay on top of things :(? I feel like there are so many things that I need to do, and every week something happen so I can get them done....
Oh well, what is the secret to perfection? :)
Can I say it again?!??!? SUPER-MOM! I don't know how you do it! I only have two in soccer, and i'm complaining! Ha Ha
Alicia,
I'm looking forward to the soccer pics and the updates on your family. I enjoy it so much! You are a wonderful sister in the Lord and a great Mom and I love hearing about your family!
Blessings to you today, sweet friend.
You are a busy mommma who loves her family! Can I come over for supper? LOL Have a wonderful week!

Maopa:)
I think being able to provide a meal where everyone can sit down together before practice is a great idea for sure!
Being a soccer mom makes a difficult job even more crazy. Kudos to you for doing it x 5. I was never so glad as when my children opted out of organized sports...I loved that they played, but I hated all the other stuff.
wow. i need to take a nap after reading that. i'm tired! :0) but like i told someone today..i LOVE the busy-ness of it. and when all my kiddos are all 'growed up' i'm going to have no idea what to do with myself! lol. i know of some yummy healthy food to eat. ;0)
I was a soccer mom when my oldest was younger and it does keep you busy, and I only had one!
Healthy meals and snacks are awesome. Using a crockpot or premaking a casserole makes it easier too.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. You are always an encouragement. I, too, can't wait to see the after-pictures of our bathroom! LOL
Healthy meals- now that's a wonderful way to make your home sing. I'm making chocolate chip cookies right now - not healthy but I know I will have some happy kids!
Wow! I was overwhelmed just reading your schedule!
Having healthy meals and sitting down together...priceless!
I know I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything starting back.
Hope the kids start feeling better soon.
You are one busy Momma all the time. Good for you making them healthy meals! I wish I could say the same thing...all the time:)
I hope I get to see your soccer pictures. I will love them : ) I love all of the pictures you take. And I am the worst de clutterer on the planet. Please keep loving me XO : )
I'm sure that will keep your hands quite full!
I'm glad you took a little time for yourself this week. Sounds like you need to stock up, as this week sounds like a doozy!
