THE BURGER PIT

Despite the title of this post, we did not eat at a junky burger joint.

My in-laws were in town for a couple of days, and one of the rituals that we have when they're here, is eating at "The Burger Pit." They have been around for YEARS, dating back to 1953. Not the particular location we eat at, but the very first one in San Jose. The service is always good, and the waiters and waitresses are on it with refills and napkins. You know with all our kids, we need lots of extra napkins! This is definitely the place to go when you are craving a burger!

The famous "Steerburger." One thing we did notice is that they got a little skimpy on the meat. No surprise on that one since it seems like prices are the same everywhere, but quantity is going down. But, at least it still tastes the same.

Here they are! All full and ready to go home!

Your family looks so happy, and that's whats important. However, I'll bet it is getting harder to keep up the quality with the big price increases in everything.

Aw...how fun to get together! And to visit and eat at a "regular" spot when your in-laws are in town. I really need to remember to carry my camera with me when we go out to eat! Dear friends took my hubby and I to an awesome Savannah restaurant that has been around since 1933, still with the main room in its original decor.

Your burger looks pretty big, so it must have been huge before, if that one is skimpy :o)

Blessings & Aloha!

Girl, you should be in the picture too. :o)

We had big ol' burgers for supper last night too. I made them out of lean meat - whole wheat rolls, etc. Yummy.

Have a great weekend!

Skimpy or not on the meat, I'd say that burger looks pretty good! I've never been to the Burger Pit, but I would if I could!

Yum! I love a good burger! Once you eat at a great burger place it is hard to go back to enjoying the not so great fast food places:)
