SHE'S GOT THE "EYE"

Well, at least to me, she does.

My oldest daughter loves to take pictures, and honestly, I think she takes better ones than I do!

I'm thinking I should give her a DSLR, and I keep the point and shoot!

She loves taking close ups, and I trip out on how well her pictures come out (with the angles and all).

Here are more random pictures she took a few days ago (with a point & shoot). I can imagine how much better they will be with a DSLR.

There are so many of you wonderful photographers out there. Do you have any beginners advice for her (and me too)?

Oh, she definitely has an eye for great photos.

Aren't you glad we have digital photography these days? Imagine the money saved from having to buy and develop film. :)

Looks like you a natural photgrapher on your hands! :) I know the pioneer woman has some great tips in her photo site. Our rec. center in out little town is offering a camera/photo course so I am thinking that a nice big city would have some great beginner classes somewhere for not to much money. I think it is wonderful you want to encourage her in this! :)

I love the doorbell one and the chalk one! She is good:) I have no advice except practice, practice, practice! And maybe take a class. I am starting a four week photo class in March!

What great pictures. I love the doorbell, the chalk, the bird of paradise. She should take a college class in the summer if there is enough time. She's a natural. Also a book on composition would probably do the trip too. Blessings.

She's doing very well, Alicia! My daughter is a budding photographer, too. I bought her a new camera for Christmas and am amazed at what she is able to do.

Keep encouraging her and providing her with opportunities to develop her creativity. She will soar! =)

They are GREAT Alicia! Wow. I would say this, let her rock that point and shoot. There are so many ways you can take good pictures with them. When you feel like she has maxed that out and learned everything she can about that then it is time to move on. I kept my point and shoot for 3 years just learning. I am a big fan of learning to use what you have and being resourceful.

I think she is doing GREAT! I wonder if you could set up a blog for her and let her participate in I Heart Faces every week. If she has some assignments that can only make her better. : )
