FRIDAY PHOTO FLASHBACK

I started "Friday Photo Flashback" because I have so many pictures from my PRE-digital camera days. I thought it would be fun to scan them and share them here with you. I'm having so much fun doing this, that I would love for you to join me, too! So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Just sign in to Mr. Linky so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs!

This was the last job I had before I became a stay at home mom! I worked there for 6 years. I was a Customer Service Rep for a Credit Reporting Agency that dealt with mortgage lenders. It was an "okay" job. I did my job, I got paid, and such was life! Besides taking care of my "needs" I didn't have anyone else to worry about. That was the single life! I still keep in touch with a couple of my previous co-workers, and have found MANY of them on Facebook, including the three people in this picture!

Oh..funny story. The guy on the far left. His name is Chris. He and I were just friends, and he asked me to be his partner in a pool tournament at this country western bar he went to every week! So, I did, and we did pretty good! The gal next to me is Cindy, and in fact, I hope to see her this summer since she just moved back down to the Bay Area. On my left is Louis, and he wants to have a "reunion" with all the old First American crew!!

So, here we are, back in 1995! I still don't know why I took a camera to work! But, I'm glad I did!!

What a fun bunch! It's amazing to look back on those single days, or childless times. There was so much more time for going out!

O.k. first of all...I think every self respecting gal in the mid 90s had a flowing flowery dress that went to the ankles...o.k. I might still be wearing one on occasion...but atleast I wear newer shoes. I love this photo...is your friend wearing a skort? I've got to go so I can put my photo up.

reunions are so much fun :)

Have you ever seen the movie "Office Space"? The guy on the left reminds me of a younger version of the guy who created the Jump to Conclusions game. Of course, if you haven't seen the movie this comment makes absolutely no sense at all.

Wow! You even carried your camera with you back then too?!?!? Oh girl, you really do like taking pictures, huh? You have officially put me to shame. lol!

This is cool though! I love the picture and I think it's great that you have it to even look back on.

Where is Mr. Linky? Is he being temperamental or did you forget to change the date?

Anyway, when you get him fixed I will link up, or you can link up for me! I already published my post so all I need is to link up!

Love the flowery dress and really loving your long hair!

Facebook is pretty great about finding old friends. I have found there people that I had lost track off, and even some best friends from high school.

Have I ever told you I love this meme? I am so glad you started it!

Those are days to reflect on....single days...no responsibilities but our own.. I find when I take my camera to work to get some pics it is because I must like the people I work with and want to have a memory of them. Looks like you enjoyed that job. Very nice flashback photo Alicia, you looked terrific as a working single woman.

You never know when you'll want a camera handy! I love that it's so easy now, but I enjoy ALL of my pictures. Have a wonderful weekend!

Your dress brought back memories. I used to wear dresses like that with ked sneakers and bobby socks. Remember that look?

Your hair is so long and did you have bangs? I love pictures that tell a story. Happy Friday girlfriend!!

Cute picture...I miss my buddies from my old job. 1995 seems like forever ago...way before my kids & I can't remember much before them. LOL

Sometimes some jobs are just that way "OK", but its the people that make it worth staying. Looks like you had some good coworkers. Now you have a job that is the BEST and the coworkers are the BEST in the world.

Erin said...

Oh, your dress...oh, her shorts! I never had the shorts, but man, I had some of those dresses...

You all look so happy, so you definitely must have had a good team.

What a great picture! I've been connecting with a lot of people from high school on facebook....I hadn't even thought about looking for former co-workers.

Well, well ... look what my friend Beth (in NC) got me into .... digging out a couple of old pics of myself and then linking to your blog!

I love the photo you have chosen ... and I still am very partial to flowery feminine dresses ... does that give away my age?? LOL

Bless you!

What a cute picture! I'm so far behind in blogging I haven't even posted today. I'll get to it before the days over but it'll probably be tonight. I'm trying to catch up on reading and commenting in my spare moments today..I'm like 3 days behind..geez! HOpe you have a great Friday!

Tara said...

Alicia, I am finally linked though I thought I had been all day (somewhere right behind BethinNC). No traffic caused me to get concerned. This whole operation abort issue is really messing me up!

Love your picture and it is so neat that your former co-workers want to have the reunion. You'll have to post pictures when it happens.

I realized the other day that I kind of miss going to an office...having a home away from home, adult conversation, going out to lunch, complaining about office politics.

So different being a stay-at-home mama!
