We went to a birthday party this past Sunday, and let me tell you, they had a massive spread!! They had every imaginable Filipino (homemade) dish you could think of, and I think we were all salivating! A bunch of us went straight over there after church, so our tummy's were all ready for lunch!
So, with the variety of dishes and desserts, I shouldn't have been surprised they had this on the kitchen table! I wish I had brought my camera, but my cell had to do!

Now, these people know how to PARTAY!!!!! I think this was bigger than the 3 year old who was having the birthday!
Be sure to visit 7 Clown Circus for Wordful Wednesday.

Wow! When you party with a pig, you know they mean business:-)
Yummy!! I wish I could join you !!
Oh wow...lol!!!! I love pork but not sure if I could eat it looking like that..lol.In the south they cook the pig in the ground.
But it looks like they were ready for a party!!!
Are you kidding me? That is one big pig. I hope it didn't scare the three year old.
LOL, my 2 older boys have been begging to get a whole hog to smoke around here....I can't stomach to look at it!!
LOL! That's a pretty big pig!
I spy lumpia. I like lechon but not sure if I could look at it still in its original form. My kids would be asking a ton of questions. I bet it was all tasty.
oh giant pig on the table. groooosssss. haha. I can eat it, but dont want to have to see it first THEN eat it.

Yikes!! Looks like no one left hungry!
Sounds like a grand time, but I'm not so sure I could eat that pig looking like that........LOL
I love pork, but I totally can't get past my food still looking like the animal it came from. LOL! Still, what a party that must have been!
Despite the fact that I had a pig for a pet I still love a good pig roast! Yum!
I totally wanted one at my outdoor wedding reception.
Great picture!
How fun! I have heard of people cooking whole pigs before...but I haven't ever seen one! I don't know if I would want him looking at me while I was eating!!
YUM! My hubs built our very own fire pit in our back yard to cook a pig twice a year and I love it! We like to have big gatherings and all the pulled pork is delish!
Looks like you guys had a great feast!
WOW, definitely a feast!
Okay sweetie... ??? You do realize that's a PIG on that table!!! :)
I would LOVE LOVE to visit when that kind of feast is going on!!
I might have to go back to being a vegetarian now...
Such a huge pig, lol
Wow..he probably was bigger than the 3 year old. That pig looks bigger than my 5 year old. ;o) What a party!
I like pork, but am not sure if I could eat it if it was staring at me. : )
Hi Alicia,
Wow! Something about that makes me shiver. I prefer my food without the head still attached. All the same, it is an interesting photo, and don’t we live in an amazing age…cell phones with cameras…how do you suppose they will top that? Oh, I know it is nothing NEW, but just thinking about how things continue to change is a remarkable. Think of the computers of the 80s with no pictures, and now look what we have. Will things continue to change at the rate they are changing now…and if so…what next?
♥Hope
That is the biggest freaking BIG ever! My husband was right next to me as I was reading this post and I couldn't stop asking him to look at the PIG! Wow... sure do know how to party!
Holy Cow, that is one big pig. :)
Aye that looks DELISH! If you lived near me I would have invited myself over hahaha
Leeeeecccchhhooooonnnn!
Ugh. I am sooo hungry now.
Yowza! My stomach just did a flip...I'm a vegetarian! ;)
WOW! They really pulled out all the stops.
Oh my! That pig is huge! Did you eat any?
Oh my goodness...it always amazes me how different all the various cultures are. Just seeing that pictures freaks me out :)
I'm glad you had a wonderful time though and they had great food. That always makes for a fun time!
Wow, that's scary...but yummy, I bet.
Ummm, if I were turning three, I might be afraid of this, LOL!
Oh wow, they're serious about this, aren't they? Looks like they caught the pig and stuck him on the "barbie"!! But he is missing the apple in his mouth....isn't he??
What an awesome looking lunch, and I'll bet it tasted as wonderful as it looked!
My son did a huge pig on a spit that they turned all day long one time for a Luau... YUMMY!
Nothing like homemade filipino cooking:)
We did a pig roast recently too, as you may remember, but no head. I can live without the head sitting there.
Otherwise, the spread looks divine.
Alicia, no head, ok?
WOW..... was not expecting THAT! Crazy! I could not eat it, and I love meat!

everyone says feast and yum... while I'm like ewh! I would definitely have to guard my facial expressions if I were there as to not stumble anyone or offend, yikes!
OK. This is just plain weird. SECOND roasted pig I've seen today.
Uh....WOW?!?!?!?
Growing up where I did (they called my town Little manila) I'm jealous...I haven't had roasted pig in a few years. Folks don't know that's the best tasting meat! You guys Partayyeeed down!
