When I was putting on my new makeup, my youngest daughter did not say, "Is that to take away your fat?" I did not think to myself, "I know she didn't say THAT!" So I asked her, "What did you say?" To which she simply repeated herself nonchalantly, "I said, is that to take away your fat?" I said, "Oh...oh...you mean to take away some of the redness by my nose, right?!" Hmm..I know that is what she REALLY meant, don't cha agree?
Just a few minutes afterward while I applying a little concealer on my face with a brush, she did not say, "Oh..your arm is jiggly." I didn't reply with, "Well, you are just the right person I need to help with my self esteem!"
We did not go to our friends surprise birthday party Saturday and stay till 1am because we were all having a "dance party" in their living room. All the kids were not dancing either...and not only to 70's and 80's music!
I totally do not have a "favorite" in the childrens class that I teach on Sunday nights. I do not just want to hug and squeeze him the entire time. I really would not want the other kids to feel left out!

No, no, not you. lol
Oh, those were funny. I am loving your child. Don't you know that is why God gave us children...to build our self esteem. My kids comment on my lovely 3 child belly. *sigh*
Kids have no filters, do they? Fortunately for most people, they do grow in! LOL
Oh man! I hope my daughter never notices my fat. lol So far, so good. :o)
Too funny!
Happy NMM!
Beth
aren't kids lovely with their "honest" remarks LOL!!!
I'm sure she meant the redness on your nose!
Sounds like your weekend was a blast!
*SIGN*...... kids! Don't you just love them! lol
Mine do the same thing, don't feel bad.
Happy Monday!
Oh no! Oh no! Oh no! She would be banned from my bathroom for sure. : ). She is adorable though. I totally know what you mean about a favorite at Sunday School. Some kids just grab your heart instantaneously : )!
Kids are so blunt sometimes and don't realize it until were either laughing or crying. Love your not me's!
Don't you love a child's innocent bluntness? Okay maybe not all the time, LOL! I never have favorite's either!
No, none of us ever have a favorite. Never happens.
Gotta love kids, they have such a way with words, just like my son did not say..."Mommy, you're fat", No, kids would never day that.
My boys are not quite old enough to start noticing stuff like that, but I am afraid it is coming...I'm sure that I will be called fat more than once by my kids!! I don't think I have a favorite at church, but I do have a few not so favorites!
KIDS: Great entertainment, but kills the self-esteem! I need to play this! BTW...TAG, ITS YOUR TURN! Visit my blog.
LOL !!!! Yeah I have gotten " Mommy what are those lines on your forehead? " Gotta Love em ! Glad you had a good weekend! Missed ya in blogland!
Yes, kids sure know how to say it, don't they. My oldest once said "Mom, this is ugly, you should buy it. It would look good on you."
He was totally sincere and I had to laugh at the horrified look on his face when he realized what he said. We were both laughing!
oh no she didn't...the jiggly arm!!! I can totally NOT relate to that.
Kids say the funniest things, how cute.
aren't kids the greatest for self esteem?! the other day my daughter told me that "Mommy, you have a BIG tummy!" Gee, thanks honey!
Oh the honesty of my kids kills me! It is really hard for my boys to understand why I put on make-up. And, ironically, it is hard for me to explain!
Kids are so blundt!
Why do kids do that?!? Trevor will play with my "love handles" when I'm feeding Tyler...thanks...thanks a lot.
awww, kids are so innocnet and cruel, lol!!! My P says stuff like that too... You are beautiful! ♥ LA
That is so funny....my NOT ME's consisted of being degraded by my daughters while applying makeup as well. What happened? Did they secretly get together somehow and decide to criticize their moms?
Yep, kids are great confidence boosters :o) Glad you guys had fun at the party. Gotta love 70s & 80s music!
Fat...what fat....fat isn't allowed in this house!!! :)
Too funny...I don't have favorites either in my kinder class. That would just be wrong! And I think that you need to teach your daughter the 'right' things to say! ;P
Great list! Good thing your daughter has never seen me get ready in the morning...I'd hate to hear what she'd say about me! LOL
Happy Not Me Monday!
Aren't kids great at saying such sweet things! Too funny!
Princess T so does NOT notice my fat! She did NOT say, "Oh mom, your butt is fat!" When I bent down to get some clothes out of the drier! Oh, how I can't wait for my wii fit!
Kids can say the darnedest things sometimes, can't they!
