A Hiking We Will Go

Lately, my husband, my older kids, and their friends have been on a hiking kick.

They started going after church, but are now going on Saturday afternoons.

They have gone to a couple of different places already, and have ran all sorts of wildlife!

The last two weekends they climbed up "Mission Peak," and I'm glad my husband remembered to bring the camera this time!

Here are the teens, getting ready to go!

You can see so much of the Bay Area from the top of this mountain.

Gorgeous day!

My son and his "walking stick." Wait till you see what he accidentally hit and walked over!

Yes..this guy! His friend was all, "Isaiah!!!"

There were also cows and coyotes up there, too! I'm glad I didn't go. I would be freaking out!

I have to give my daughter credit because she wasn't feeling well, and she had played a hard soccer game that morning, and still hiked up this mountain!

That is such a beautiful view, but I'm afraid after I had seen that snake I would have been heading back to the car quickly!

Love this. Right now, sometimes I can't see past the stage where my eldest is in First Grade right now, and the baby is not 2 until Sept. But this gives me a glimpse into how life will be, what they might like to do as a family when they get older. LOVE.
