THANKFUL THURSDAY
These are just random things that come to my mind when I think of what I am/was thankful for in 2008! I'm sure I've mentioned one or more of them at one time or another. God is good all the time! I am a work in progress, and oh so thankful for His grace!! To read more TT, or to share what you are thankful for, click here.
- I was thankful that my children were basically healthy the entire year.
- I was/am thankful for my husband being employed! There are so many people out of work. So, I thank God for his job, and for the stability thus far.
- I was/am thankful for the new curriculum that we switched to. It has been such a blessing! It has brought us back on track, and I feel like the kids have been learning so much in the last few months.
- I was/am thankful for another year to be a stay at home mom. This is my 10th year, and I can't even imagine doing anything else.
- I was/am thankful for my spiritual growth, although I'm not where I want to be. I'm so blessed to have friends that have been walking with the Lord longer than I, and I am so encouraged by them!
- I am so thankful for friendships that are rooted in the Lord. I can feel the bonds strengthening each time I spend with them.
- I was/am thankful for another year with our parents here on this earth. This gives us more time to share about the Lord, and to pray for them to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
- I was/am thankful to see how God worked so miraculously in our friends lives during a devastating time. She lost her husband suddenly, and we were able to witness Gods strength and faithfulness to her and her children. I'm still amazed at how God is working in their lives. We all know that her husband is in the presence of the Lord, and that's what gives them peace. They know, and we know that we will see him again, one day!!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful TT list. What strength there is - to find happiness in the midst of sadness. I pray your friend continues to see God working in and through her as He helps her deal with the loss of her husband.

I enjoyed reading your list. It was refreshing and encouraging- I am thankful for so many of the same things: from being a mom to my spiritual growth.
