YOU'RE GONNA MISS THIS MOMENT-FAMILY

My sister and her family are on their last leg of their vacation. They've been in Northern and Southern California since November and are going back to their depressing state of Hawaii (cha, right!) on Wednesday. It's a little chaotic right now, to say the least. The fireplace room is filled with their luggage and many extra things they got while they were here! We exchanged gifts last night and I made a last minute cake for my nephew since it was his birthday last week! It's cute to see the older kids do their own thing (video games of course) while our two youngest play with each other! We're going to miss them when they leave in a couple of days! I'm just glad that our two youngest are bonding exactly like our older kids did when they were little!!! I'm going to miss these kinds of moments, when all our kids are young and all they want to do is spend time together..and not worry about anything else.

They said that they were each other's BFF!! Aww!
They acted like it was their birthdays!
My nephew Noah who just turned 12. I know..how cheesy with the cake pan! It was last minute, remember??? It was oh so good! Strawberry cake with white frosting. I only had Christmas sprinkles left over, but I thought, what the heck, his birthday was the day after Christmas anyway!

You are blessed to be able to get them together! We live far away (from the NW to the SE) from our family. I cherish the photos of the last time we were together. Our kids are so young that after a year, they can't remember seeing their cousins. Those are some great pictures!

I miss it, because my kids don't even know any of their cousins & the one they know they see maybe once every 2 years. Ugh. You are blessed to have kids so close in age with their cousins. Great post!

I know exactly how it feels to be separated. I wish my kids got to be around my niece all the time.

You are so sweet to make your nephew a cake! :) Yumm, I want some now, LOL.

Cousins are the best...wish your kids could spend more time with them. We just moved back "home" after a long time of being away. My boys have always had a special connection with their cousins, and they LOVE being together!

Oh, how sweet! Most of my children's cousins are WAY older than them.

BTW, if the stuff fits, stuff it.....lol! The kitchen pantry is where I store my "A" stuff. The stuff that gets used most often. The under-the-stairs pantry is for bulk storage.

I hear ya sister. I suppose if I didn't have a pantry I would use my hall closet and let people just wear their coats whenever they came over...lol!

that's so great that you got to spend some more time with your sister and her kids. I'm sure you'll miss them a ton when they're gone though.

(sorry I haven't been around, I've had a hard time keeping up with everyone. The teething monster has struck our house again, so every spare minute I have a baby in my arms....)

These memories are going to be so special! There won't be too many more years when ALL of the kids will be able to get together so I'm so glad you're able to get these special times together now. And the cake...I see no problems with it. It looks delicious!

How fun. It's sad when family is so far away. I wish my younger sister was closer. I am always said when she and my niece have to leave!
You have some great pictures there to capture those moments!
